WestSound Paranormal conducted investigations at the Hotel Léger in Mokelumne Hill on two occasions— first in 2009, and again in 2013. On both visits, our team had exclusive overnight access to the entire hotel, with no other guests or staff present. From the moment we arrived, we could sense an unexplained energy throughout the building. Every investigator experienced something personal and unexplainable, leaving us convinced that the Hotel Léger holds genuine paranormal activity. While no definitive scientific evidence was captured, both investigations were filled with compelling moments. For those interested in exploring the unknown, the Hotel Léger is a must-visit destination for any paranormal enthusiast.
Two similar photos taken 11 minutes apart caught a similar light abnormity.

Several of the old mirrors throughout the hotel reflect odd lines or distorted shapes due to the physical imperfections that develop over time. This is not an optical illusion, but a real effect caused by deterioration of the mirror itself and it’s surrounding materials. In folklore, a mirror is a doorway or portal through which spirits, including ghosts and demons can gain access to the physical world.

In the ball room we captured this blob or mist moving across the room.

These are some interesting Orbs we caught.

One of the weirdest things we noticed on our investigation was in room 7. As the night progressed we noticed weird lines of light on the wall next to the window and behind the headboard.

As it grew we noticed it was a pentagram forming. We found nothing in the room to reflect this. A pentagram is a five-pointed star shape, created by connecting the five vertices of a pentagon with a single, continuous line. It has ancient origins and has been used across various cultures and religions with different meanings, from representing the five elements or wounds of Christ to its use in modern occultism and Satanism. Was it just a coincidence that it was in George Leger room?

This sweet and affectionate resident cat (Miss Kitty) showed us how flexible she was. Ok, it’s not paranormal but it was weird.

After two investigations, we would still go back to investigate again.
